The collection has largely been formed since the restoration of the Monarchy in 1660 and included paintings, drawings and watercolours, furniture, ceramics, clocks, silver, Distance: 0.19 Miles The Royal Mews Designed by John Nash and completed in 1825, the Royal Mews houses the State Coaches, horse drawn carriages and motor cars used for coronations, state visits, royal weddings and the State Opening of Parliament. Distance: 0.21 Miles Victoria, train station Victoria Train Station serves trains from the south and southeast of England, including Gatwick Airport. The current theatre which opened in November 1911 was designed as a music hall and was called The Victoria Palace, adding the word Theatre onto the end in September 1934. Distance: 0.13 Miles victoria Distance: 0.15 Miles The State Rooms at Buckingham Palace During the summer, visitors are given the chance to discover the inside of the Queen's London residence, Buckingham Palace. When the Queen makes her annual visit to Scotland, the Palace's 19 State Rooms are open to the public. The State Rooms are used by the Queen and the Royal Family to receive and entertain their guests and are lavishly furnished with some of the finest treasures from the Royal Collection.
