Notting Hill Carnival
The first Notting Hill Carnival took place in 1964 and since then has continued to grow to become EuropeÂ's largest street festival. Fabulous floats make a colourful circuit of the area and mighty sound systems blast out music throughout the day. Sunday is traditionally the Kids' Day of the carnival, while on the Monday, London's party people come to the Notting Hill Carnival to dance in the streets.
